Tie Stains

I know the comic wasn’t shaded, I was running late this morning and had to rush a bit. Lot’s to do since I’m throwing my buddy’s bachelor party this weekend.

Eons ago when I worked for my college’s IT department, my boss decided that it would be cute if all the student workers wore ties once a week. This is actually the reason my first character Ted wears a tie that sports a very fashionable frown. Anyway, I went out and bought myself a nice silver tie to go with my blue shirt. On the very first “Tie Tuesday” at the end of lunch, when I was going to carry my cafeteria tray back to the wash counter, my tie decided to dive it’s self into my blow of leftover alfredo sauce.

Needless to say, I’ve had an affinity to people’s tie stains since that very day. Why is it that most clothing stains are on ties? I never stain my ratty old T’s?

*UPDATE*
Got to meet Scott McCloud at Midtown Comics this afternoon. He signed my book and was very approachable guy. Needless to say, I finally got to realize how it feels to be a fanboy. It’s a very spastic feeling that includes really fast talking. Anyway, I got to pack for the weekend. Have a safe one everyone!
